Meeting with The Ukrainian Society of the Deaf

Today, together with representatives of the Kyiv City State Administration, Help employees met with members of the Ukrainian Society of the Deaf. As part of the meeting, 455 smart watches were provided to people with hearing impairments.

Thanks to these gadgets, people with hearing impairments will be able to quickly receive notifications about the onset and termination of air raid alerts, which means they can move to a safe place in time to save their health and lives. At the meeting, members of the society shared their stories about how they survived the full-scale invasion and the difficulties they faced, and expressed their sincere gratitude for the watches they received.

“There are currently apps about air raids. But not everyone has good cell phones. It happens that the vibration does not work or the text on the screen is difficult to read. That’s why smartwatches are very necessary,” said Oleksiy Nashyvochnikov, a member of the Inspiration Union of Deaf Artists.

Support for vulnerable groups was provided with funding from Aktion Deutschalnd Hilft.
