Help is seeking a qualified professional to fill the position of Assistant Field Officer, who will comprehensively assist in the implementation of the humanitarian project “Comprehensive Humanitarian Assistance and Resilience Support to War-Affected Communities in Southern and Eastern Ukraine”.

Summary:
Help is seeking a qualified professional to fill the position of Assistant Field Officer specialized in humanitarian aid in Kyiv. The Assistant Field Officer will work under the supervision of the Field Officer, Project Manager, and Project Coordinator and will be responsible for implementing program activities in the humanitarian sector in the southern and eastern parts of Ukraine.
Location:
The Assistant Field Officer will be based in Kyiv with frequent travel throughout Ukraine.
Starting date: ASAP
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implementation and monitoring of all project components with a special focus on Anticipatory Action, WASH, Shelter, Critical Infrastructure.
- Identifying potential objects that can fit within HELP Programme criteria.
- Field trips at initial and each stage of project implementation.
- Preparation of specifications in cooperation with the supervisor.
- Maintaining contacts with local partners, in cooperation with the supervisor.
- Informing counterparts about the state of the project implementation.
- Project activity reporting and documenting.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid B driving license is a must
- Previous work experience in humanitarian assistance
- Active knowledge of spoken and written English
- IT literacy
- Analytical and organizational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, self-initiative, responsibility
- Ability to work both independently and as a part of the team
- Ability to learn quickly and adjust to new assignments
- Willingness to perform extensive field work
Reporting and communication:
The Assistant Field Officer reports to the Project Manager according to the reporting procedure set by Help.
