Public Relations Officer

The role is to tell Help’s story to the outside world, shaping the narrative of the organization’s work and assisting in the creation of a positive public perception, including among donors, partners, and volunteers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing a communications strategy for the organization that reflects the mission and values of the company and individual projects in line with their activities.
  • Review, edit and coordinate all key publications and digital media content, such as web pages, social media, fact sheets and articles for the local and international community.
  • Liaise with and respond to inquiries from the media, individuals, partner, and other organizations, often by phone and email.
  • Raise awareness of Help and its work locally and internationally, preparing multimedia presentations and distributing press releases to targeted media as needed.
  • Attend meetings with local actors as needed, taking minutes, and sharing them as requested.
  • Maintain a photo library, ensuring a proper photo documentation process for all projects of the organization.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., project managers) and maintain open communication with senior management.
  • Publishing content: approving the content plan and materials for publication on social media and the organization’s website.
  • Monitoring of data analysis for social media and website analytics.
  • Monitoring press activity and maintaining a press archive.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of public relations and media.
  • High level of English and Ukrainian language skills.
  • University degree and at least 3 years of professional experience
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Ability to effectively plan, prepare and present material for publication in accordance with established style and format.
  • Excellent knowledge, skills and use of technology and the Internet
  • Photography skills with knowledge of graphic programs such as Adobe Photoshop.
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate persuasively, both verbally and in writing.
