Help is seeking a qualified professional to fill the position of Deputy Country Director for its Emergency assistance program to ensure support of program activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Country Director in the full range of his/her responsibilities, including:
all management and operational activities Help-Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe Office in Ukraine,
coordinating the work of various divisions and offices and
overseeing programmatic aspects of the operation;
- Providing advice and assisting the Country Director on substantive matters related to strategic planning, resource mobilization, management, humanitarian and development aspects of the work, and developing management tools to enhance the organization’s performance;
- Drafts project proposals and oversees the M&E procedures;
- Playing an active role in facilitating consultations with other iNGOs, including working closely with them and other partners on preparing and implementing joint projects;
- Carries out particular tasks that may be assigned by the Country Director and assumes overall responsibility for the functioning of the Help-Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe Office in Ukraine when the Country Director is unavailable;
- Carries out the disciplinary supervision of the Project Management Team Leads;
- Communicates with the Help Regional Office on matters of strategic planning, regional projects, and HR management.
Minimum requirements:
- >5 years of progressive working experience in the NGO and INGO sector in international humanitarian aid/development cooperation;
- MS degree in political science, economics, management, or a relevant field;
- Project Management experience, excellent knowledge of project cycle management;
- Private sector experience and knowledge of business processes are an advantage;
- Minimum 2 years experience in coordinating and leading staff/teams;
- Fluency in English and Ukrainian. Knowledge of German is an advantage;
- Intercultural solid skills and excellent communication and networking skills.
Ability to work result-oriented and independently even in stressful situations and to keep an overview of the projects.
