A Meeting Was Held Between Representatives of Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe and Partners From Bonn Regarding Further Support for the City

An important working meeting was held in Kyiv between our organization, a delegation from Bonn, Germany, and representatives of the Kherson authorities, during which the parties summarized the results of cooperation within the Bonn Hilft Cherson partnership project and outlined further steps to support the region’s medical system.

A working meeting was held in Kyiv between representatives of the Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe organization, a delegation from the German city of Bonn, and local authorities. Discussions on cooperation within the Bonn Hilft Cherson partnership project took place at the Free Together charitable organization.

The meeting was attended by:

  • Oleksandr Novykov, head of Help’s representative office in Ukraine;
  • Wolfgang Fuchs, head of the Bonn city administration;
  • Katja Dörner, former mayor of Bonn;
  • representatives of the Kherson City Council — Tetiana Banshchikova and Vitalii Belobrov, as well as Vitalii Nemerec, head of the Kakhovka City Administration.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the results of the support that Help provides to Kherson within the framework of its partnership with Bonn. In 2025, three medical institutions received assistance in the form of modern equipment, medicines, and materials. In total, more than 400,000 patients benefited from improved medical services. In particular, a V5 ultrasound machine, a video bronchoscope, a video gastroscope, as well as medicines and endovascular consumables were donated to hospitals in the region.

Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe will continue to support the region’s healthcare system and strengthen the partnership between Kherson and Bonn.
