Last week, a working visit by partners took place in Chernihiv, during which the results of a project aimed at supporting children and creating a safe environment for their development were presented.
Last week, the Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe team undertook a working visit to Chernihiv, where a project aimed at developing life skills, emotional resilience and supporting children’s mental health is currently being implemented.

The meeting was attended by the head of Help’s representative office in Ukraine, Oleksandr Novikov, and a representative of the Help Localisation Facility, Serhii Skashchuk, as well as representatives of the German Federal Foreign Office, the partner organisation CF Yellow-Blue Wings and local authorities.
During the visit, the delegation visited a children’s space created as part of the ‘On the Wings of Childhood – Towards a Safe Future’ project, which is being implemented for children with disabilities. Participants had the opportunity to see how sessions with a psychologist and facilitator are conducted, aimed at supporting children in difficult circumstances.

Particular attention was paid to the challenges facing the education system in wartime. Vasyl Bilohura, Head of the Education Department at Chernihiv City Council, spoke about this.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of CF Yellow-Blue Wings — project manager Mykola Chaikin, psychologist Ilona Gusieva and facilitator Maria Snopok, who work directly with children as part of the initiative.
The project ‘On the Wings of Childhood – Towards a Safe Future’ is being implemented by the Yellow-Blue Wings Charitable Foundation with financial support from the German Federal Foreign Office and coordinated by Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe and the Help Localisation Facility.
