At the event, Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe presented the Help Localization Facility (HLF), a program of direct funding for Ukrainian humanitarian organizations.

On March 11, 2025, Berlin hosted Cafe Kyiv 2025, an annual event organized by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung. It is an important platform for discussing the future of Ukraine, bringing together politicians, experts, civil society representatives and cultural figures. This year’s main topics were freedom, security, and rebuilding Ukraine. The event program included panel discussions, workshops, art exhibitions, film screenings and concerts.

On this platform, Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe presented a new program – Help Localization Facility (HLF), which will be an important step in supporting local NGOs in Ukraine.

HLF is a program that will allow direct funding of humanitarian projects of Ukrainian NGOs. Currently, more than 10.8 million euros have been allocated for the program, which will be used to support people in crisis situations.

The HLF program was presented with the participation of the German Federal Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt), the Ukrainian NGO Avalyst, and the Center for Humanitarian Action.
