Help joined the second meeting of the Alliance for Gender Responsive Reconstruction for Ukraine

Help supports Alliance initiatives and integrates a gender-inclusive approach into its humanitarian and recovery projects.

The conference “The Second Meeting of the Alliance for Gender Responsive and Inclusive Recovery for Ukraine” (Gender Alliance) was held on February 18 in Kyiv.

Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe, as a member of the Alliance, took part in the meeting and joined the discussion of key issues, including gender-responsive budgeting, support for internally displaced persons and women’s perspective on war. We support Alliance initiatives and integrate them into our own projects aimed at helping vulnerable groups. We pay special attention to protecting women’s rights, supporting internally displaced persons, and prioritizing women’s rights and needs in recovery and humanitarian assistance.

The Alliance brings together more than 70 members, including representatives of governments, international organizations, civil society and the business community, who work together to strengthen gender equality and empower women in Ukraine. Thanks to the well-coordinated cooperation of its partners, the Alliance continues to strengthen its impact by promoting the implementation of effective solutions in the field of gender-responsive recovery.

The key outcomes of the meeting included the presentation of the Alliance’s baseline study, which offers practical solutions to improve gender equality, discussion of five best practices in working with communities, and identification of priorities for 2025 for gender-inclusive recovery.

Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe supports further steps in the field of gender equality and joins initiatives.
