The event brought together civil society representatives from across Ukraine who are engaged in localisation and humanitarian sector development, providing a professional platform to discuss current challenges and future perspectives.
The Interregional Partnership Forum “Localisation for the Future” was implemented by the Help Localisation Facility partner organisation, NGO “Spring of Hope.Ukraine.”
Discussions focused on the key challenges currently faced by local initiatives, donor approaches to advancing localisation principles, funding decision-making mechanisms, and opportunities to adapt international support instruments to the Ukrainian context. Particular attention was given to exploring more flexible models of cooperation between donors and local organisations.

A representative of the HLF team, Procurement Officer Kateryna Bodnar, joined one of the panel discussions.
“During the event, we received further confirmation that HLF is currently one of the key instruments supporting the localisation of the humanitarian response in Ukraine. The demand for support from local humanitarian initiatives — their ideas and projects — is extremely high, and the HLF team is making every effort to ensure this support is provided,” Kateryna shared.

The Forum reaffirmed that localisation is not only a strategic priority, but also a practical and ongoing process that requires continuous dialogue, mutual trust, and flexible approaches to supporting local initiatives for the sustainable development of communities in Ukraine.
