Winter Resilience: Strengthening Affected Communities and Local Population in Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Mykolaiv Regions

The project aims to support vulnerable communities in Kharkiv, Donetsk and Mykolaiv regions by providing access to basic winter energy resources and financial assistance for utility bills.

The project aims to support vulnerable communities in Kharkiv, Donetsk and Mykolaiv regions by providing access to basic winter energy resources and financial assistance for utility bills.The goal is to reduce the risk of energy poverty and improve winter living conditions for such categories as people with disabilities, single parents, large families and the elderly.

The project consists of two main activities:

Winter Energy Activity – supplying solid fuel to 1,145 households to ensure heating during the cold season.

Winter utility assistance – providing cash assistance to cover the cost of electricity, gas or centralized heating for 2,750 households in Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts.

The project funded by the Humanitarian Fund for Ukraine (GFU/UHF).

A local NGO, Avalist, is involved in the implementation of some of the project’s activities, helping to organize registration for cash assistance on the ground. Funds for utilities will be provided through local authorities, while solid fuel assistance will be delivered directly to households, reducing costs and providing quick access to resources.
