Representatives of Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe Took Part in a Workshop on Equal Partnerships in the Humanitarian Sector

The Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe team joined the workshop ‘Rebuilding Space,’ where, together with Ukrainian and international NGOs, they discussed new approaches to equal partnership in the humanitarian sector.

On 25 July, our team joined a workshop in Kyiv entitled ‘Space Restructuring: Equal Partnerships in the Context of Humanitarian Reset,’ organised by the Platform of Humanitarian NGOs in Ukraine. This event became an important platform for discussing the transformation of approaches in humanitarian activities, as well as strengthening cooperation between organisations based on trust and equality.

The workshop brought together representatives of Ukrainian and international humanitarian organisations, who jointly considered key issues:

  • the transition from traditional donor-recipient models to partnerships with power sharing;
  • new approaches to capacity sharing between organisations;
  • practical steps to strengthen local leadership;
  • cooperation with the country’s Humanitarian Team in the context of resetting the humanitarian system.

The event also provided an excellent opportunity for networking, dialogue and developing joint ideas for future initiatives.
