Support for the Kherson Region: Participation in the Ukraine Wiederaufbauen Conference

At the Ukraine Wiederaufbauen conference on 28 January, our organisation presented the Bonn hilft Cherson project, which is being implemented as part of a solidarity partnership between the cities of Bonn and Kherson.

On 28 January, representatives of our organisation took part in the conference ‘Cities and Regions in Focus: Kherson’ in Germany on the ‘Ukraine Wiederaufbauen’ platform, dedicated to the reconstruction of Ukraine, with a special focus on the city and region of Kherson.

During the event, the project ‘Bonn hilft Cherson’ was presented, which is being implemented with the support of the city of Bonn as part of a solidarity partnership with Kherson. The project aims to improve access to medical care and basic services in a region that faces humanitarian risks on a daily basis.

In particular, the project provides medical facilities with modern equipment and medicines, rehabilitation and protective equipment, non-food items for collective centres, and fuel for critical infrastructure.

Participation in the conference became an important platform for presenting the results of the work, exchanging experience and further developing international cooperation to support the population of the Kherson region.
