Over 5,000 km, more than 20 meetings, and hundreds of hours of candid conversations — this is how the Help team conducted a series of regional dialogues with local organisations to hear their needs and jointly outline ways for development.
The next stage of the HLF programme in Ukraine has been completed – dialogue with potential project participants.
From 29 July to 26 August 2025, our team held a series of meetings with local organisations and consortia during the HLF Dialogue stage. The total length of the route travelled by the HLF team across the country was over 5,000 km.
More than 20 face-to-face meetings took place in different regions and cities of Ukraine. Each of these meetings lasted an average of over 4 hours and was devoted to discussing community needs, organizational success stories, plans for future interventions, development prospects, and capacity building.

The Help team included representatives from the programme, finance, procurement, communications and security departments.
This time, the HLF team met with organisations participating in the selection process for grants of €250,000 and €800,000.
“Our task was to build a constructive and productive dialogue with representatives of local humanitarian organisations from different parts of Ukraine, and I am proud to say that we have achieved our goal. The organisations shared their success stories, their opinions and needs were heard, and the vectors for further development were clearly defined,” said Serhii Skashchuk, HLF project management and programme coordination.
Dialogue with partners is the key to effective support strategies that respond to current challenges and help communities develop even in the most difficult conditions.
