Summary:

The Driver will play a pivotal role in facilitating the smooth execution of the organization’s humanitarian activities by ensuring safe and efficient transportation of personnel, goods, and equipment. The Driver will be responsible for maintaining the vehicle in good condition and complying with relevant regulations and safety standards.

Starting date: As soon as possible

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely transport personnel, goods, and equipment to designated locations in a timely and efficient manner.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and security protocols while operating the vehicle.
• Maintain the cleanliness and proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle, including regular check-ups, fueling, and oil changes.
• Assist with loading and unloading of supplies, equipment, and other items as required.
• Provide logistic support during field missions, including route planning and navigation.
• Ensure the vehicle’s documentation, including insurance and registration, is up to date and readily available.
• Report any vehicle malfunctions or incidents promptly to the supervisor.
• Assist with basic administrative tasks as assigned.
• Perform other tasks during field visits (assistance in registering beneficiaries, assistance in preparing the workplace during field visits, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a driver, preferably within the humanitarian or development sector.
• Familiarity with local traffic rules, road conditions, and the geographical area.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Basic mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle maintenance.
• Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and attention to detail.
• Respect for safety protocols and security measures.
• Readiness for regular business trips
• Basic knowledge of first aid
• Fluency in computer and office programs

Languages:

Fluency in Ukrainian is required. English is desirable.

Reporting and communication:

The Security Driver reports to the Kharkiv Office Head according to the reporting procedure set by Help.
