About assistance to Kherson and plans for the future from Darya Romanenko

Country Director of Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe in Ukraine, Darya Romanenko, gave an interview to the German publishing house General Anzeiger, in which she talked about the projects the organization is currently conducting in Ukraine and plans for the future.

The main topic of the interview was the Bonn Hilft Cherson project, within the framework of which the German city of Bonn initiated the collection of funds to help the people of Kherson and support the city’s functioning in a difficult period. Thanks to the financial support of German citizens, Help was able to provide emergency assistance to the residents of Kherson after the accident at the Kakhovska HPP and purchase equipment for local hospitals to facilitate the processes of providing medical aid in the region.

Daria Romanenko also shared her plans for the following year. Help plans to open an additional office in the south of Ukraine to speed up the provision of assistance and expand opportunities to support Ukrainians. In addition, the organization is developing measures for emergency evacuation and psychosocial support of the population in case of force majeure and plans to spend future funds on purchasing all necessary equipment and machinery.
