Help Joined an International Discussion in Berlin

The director of Help’s representative office in Ukraine took part in a panel discussion on the humanitarian situation and support for affected communities.

On June 21–22, the German Federal Foreign Office held an Open House in Berlin, which included a panel discussion on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine.

Oleksandr Novykov, Director of the Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe office in Ukraine, participated in the discussion.

During the discussion, participants raised key issues: growing humanitarian needs, the challenges of limited funding, and the importance of localizing aid and strengthening partnerships.

Oleksandr Novykov spoke about the organization’s work in Ukraine, specifically its support for communities through cash assistance, infrastructure reconstruction, livelihood development, and support for local organizations.

💬 “Despite significant challenges, we see the strength and resilience of Ukrainians every day. That is why it is important to continue providing support and investing in the long-term reconstruction of communities,” he noted.

Today, Help operates in several regions of Ukraine and, together with its partners, has already provided assistance to millions of people.
