The premiere of the theatre initiative ‘Stories of Light’, created with the participation of children and young people with disabilities and special educational needs, took place in Vyshhorod
As part of the project ‘On the Wings of Childhood – Towards a Safe Future’, implemented by the ‘Yellow Blue Wings’ Charitable Foundation with financial support from the German Federal Foreign Office and coordinated by us, the premiere of the theatre initiative ‘Stories of Light’ took place in Vyshhorod

The project aims to create a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for children and young people with disabilities and special educational needs. One of its key focuses is supporting creative initiatives that help children develop their talents, socialise and interact more confidently with the world around them.

The ‘Stories of Light’ theatre initiative, launched by volunteer Oleksii Simonov, has become just such a space. During the premiere performance, the young participants presented a touching story about friendship, support and acceptance in the form of shadow theatre — a unique art form that combines light, music and movement.
The event was attended by representatives of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Marlene Breyer and Henry Erichs, as well as Tetyana Foroshcha, Head of the Social and Humanitarian Department of the Vyshhorod City Council, underscoring the importance of such events.
