Monitoring Visit by Italian Partners

As part of the project, in early July, representatives of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) paid a monitoring visit to the Krasnokutsk territorial community in the Kharkiv region


The project ‘Multisectoral Emergency Initiative to Support Basic Needs and Restore Livelihoods in the Most Affected Frontline Areas of Ukraine’ is being implemented with financial support from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) through the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).

Its aim is to improve living conditions, enhance resilience and preserve the dignity of people affected by the war in the Kharkiv region by providing life-saving, multi-sectoral humanitarian aid.

It was as part of this project that, in early July, representatives of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) visited the Krasnokutsk territorial community in the Kharkiv region on a monitoring visit to assess the results of measures aimed at supporting local residents and restoring critical infrastructure.

The delegation from the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) comprised:

Together with our team, the AICS representatives met with the community leadership, visited the reconstruction sites and spoke with local residents who had received support through the project.

During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the results of two key areas of assistance:

– the restoration of water towers, which helps to ensure a stable water supply for the community’s residents;

– support for beekeepers through the provision of vouchers, which help to develop beekeeping and strengthen the livelihoods of local families.

Monitoring visits are a vital part of humanitarian work, as they allow partners to see the results of project implementation, speak directly with community representatives and ensure that the aid meets their needs.
