Working Visit to Ukraine by a Representative of the European Office of Help

During her visit to Ukraine, a representative of the European office of Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe met with the team and learned how humanitarian aid impacts the lives of people in local communities.

As part of a working visit to Ukraine, Rebecca Hecke, the team lead for the organization’s European division, visited the Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe office.

During the visit, meetings were held with the team in Ukraine, and she was briefed on the implementation of current humanitarian projects. Special attention was given to discussing the results of the work, challenges, and future strategic steps.

During an interview, Rebecca Hecke emphasized the importance of direct work with communities and the role of local teams in ensuring effective aid:

“It is important for me to see how support reaches people and what real changes it brings to their lives.”

She also emphasized the importance of partnerships and local capacity building as key elements of humanitarian response.

The visit helped strengthen coordination between teams and identify future areas of cooperation.
