Comprehensive Humanitarian Assistance and Resilience Support to War-Affected Communities in Southern and Eastern Ukraine

The project aims to help affected people in the southern and eastern regions of Ukraine. Particular attention will be paid to survivors of gender-based violence and women-led families.

Emergency assistance to meet the basic needs of the affected people

The project provides for the distribution of 1,565 kits, which include food, hygiene products, and non-food items.

It also includes multi-purpose cash assistance to internally displaced persons and rapid response payments.

Housing repairs

As comfortable housing is a basic human need, the project will provide light and medium repairs to 80 houses in Ukraine’s southern and eastern regions.

Psychological support

The project will provide ongoing psychological support to avoid or mitigate long-term psychological trauma for people living near the frontline. Individual psychological sessions will also be provided. The activities will be consolidated by a large media company in the Ukrainian media.

Support for micro businesses

89 micro businesses will be supported by this project. This will create new jobs and support Ukraine’s economy.
The project will also conduct a study with the Ukrainian Business Council.

Preparing for winter

The project will support institutions by assessing their winterization needs, implementing renewable energy solutions, and renovating 14 institutions. According to preliminary estimates, 5,000 people will benefit.
